Compassion, Dignity
Gilpin Hall is committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centered end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity, and support for residents and their families. Our approach emphasizes pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and respect for each resident’s values, beliefs, and advance directives. Â
Beginning in 2026, Delaware’s Ron Silverio/Heather Block End of Life Options Law allows eligible individuals to request medication intended to end life. While the law permits health care facilities to decide whether such medications may be prescribed or administered on their premises, Gilpin Hall has chosen not to allow the prescription of life-ending medications within the facility. This decision does not change our commitment to high-quality hospice, palliative care, or comprehensive end-of-life support, all of which remain fully available to our residents.
