Gilpin Hall's 4th floor is home to our Assisted Care residents.  This level of care addresses the needs of individuals who require minimal assistance in the areas of bathing, dressing, medication administration, housekeeping and meal preparation.  A Certified Nursing Assistant provides daily, 24 hour care, while professional nurses assume responsibility for medications and medical treatments.

The "homelike" atmosphere is both welcoming and relaxing.  A combination of 18 private and shared rooms make up a small community that welcomes newcomers.

Each room is equipped with an emergency call-bell system, individual heating/cooling controls, cable TV and a direct telephone line (activated by the resident).  One may choose to use our furniture or may bring their own, in order to create a comfortable and personal living area.

This floor offers it's own dining room, a television/recreational lounge and two screened in porches that overlook the surrounding neighborhood and downtown Wilmington.  Also available is a beauty salon and a washer/dryer for those who still enjoy doing their own laundry.
